TriniCLOT Factor VIITriniCLOT Factor VII Deficient Human Plasma is intended for the quantitative determination of factor in human plasma by clotting assay. Factor VII is a clotting factor which activates Factor X to Factor Xa in the presence of calcium and tissue thromboplastin. Plasma samples which are severely deficient in Factor II, V, VII or X have a greatly prolonged activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) and/or prothrombin time (PT). When a patient’s plasma is mixed with plasma known to be deficient in one specific factor (congenital or immunodepleted), the degree of correction of the clotting time is proportional to the level of this factor in the patient’s plasma. |
