TriniCHECK Control 1TriniCHECK Control 1 is a lyophilized human plasma with characteristics similar to those of fresh normal plasma to be used as a normal control in the Prothrombin Time (PT), Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT), and Fibrinogen assay procedures. The one-stage Prothrombin Time (PT), Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT), and Fibrinogen assay procedures are routinely used to identify and quantitate deficiencies in the clotting mechanism as well as to monitor anticoagulant therapy. Many factors can influence a coagulation test measurement such as sample or reagent volume, reaction temperature, activation time, reagent quality, and clot detection system (instrumentation). To assess these variables and assure the accuracy of coagulation test results, control materials are used during routine testing. The use of control materials is essential to verify the performance of a test system. Both normal and abnormal controls are recommended, since determinations outside and within the normal range are equally significant. TriniCHECK Control 1 is a control plasma consisting of human plasma that has been lyophilized to maintain the integrity of the constituents.
