TriniVeriCAL Calibrator SetThe TriniVeriCAL Calibrator Set is a set of labeled human plasmas for use with the MDA®, Coag-AMate ® MTX, Coag-A-Mate® MAX and DestinyPLUS systems in the in vitro quantification of the Prothrombin and Activated Partial Thromboplastin coagulation assays. The TriniVeriCAL Calibrator Set can also be used to verify continued system and reagent accuracy after calibration. The Prothrombin (PT) and Activated Partial Thromboplastin (aPTT) coagulation assays are subject to variability between reagent lots and instrumentation. The TriniVeriCAL Calibrator minimizes reagent lot-to-lot and system-to-system variability by calibrating the PT and aPTT times to the same reference reagents. These times have been precisely and accurately determined utilizing reference reagents lots of TriniCLOT PT HTF, TriniCLOT aPTT S and/or TriniCLOT aPTT HS (Simplastin® HTF, Platelin® L and/or Platelin® LS). Calibration is recommended with every reagent lot change and after amajor systemhardware change.When the controls and/or calibration verification indicates a systemdrift, calibration should be performed only after troubleshooting and maintenance procedures are performed to avoid masking a problem. |
