Low Fibrinogen Control PlasmaFrozen Fibrinogen Control Plasmas are prepared from normal citrated plasmas tested at source and found to be negative for Hepatitis B, HCV and HIV. The low fibrinogen control plasma (LFG-CP) is prepared through limited thrombin exposure which is carefully controlled to maintain activities of coagulation factors II, V and VIII. Fibrninogen content is typically in the range of 0.15-0.35 g/L (15-35 mg/dL) as determined by antigen assay. The high fibrinogen control plasma (FG-CP) is prepared by supplementation of normal plasma with plasma-derived fibrinogen, raising the level to greater than 5 g/L (>500 mg/dL) as measured by clot based assay. |
